In this Free Photoshop Website Designing Video Tutorial, we will show you how to use "Zoom Tool". Zoom Tool is used to reduce or magnify the view of an image. The window's title bar will show you the zoom percentage of an image. Maximum magnification level is 1600%. When you reach the maximum level of zoom then the center of the zoom tool's cursor will appear as empty. Press Z for selecting this tool. There are two types of Zoom Tool: “Zoom In” and “Zoom Out”.

Functions of Photoshop Zoom In Tool and Zoom Out Tool:

1. Zoom In Tool: This tool is used to increase the size of an image.
2. Zoom Out Tool: This tool is used to decrease the size of an image.

1. Select File > Open.
2. Select “Zoom Tool” from the toolbar. When you select this tool, additional options appear in the "Tool Options Bar" i.e. Resize Windows to Fit, Ignore Palettes, Actual Pixels, Fit On Screen, Print Size.
3. Now, click or drag your mouse on any particular area of the image which you want to see more clearly. This will magnify that area to the next preset percentage, by keeping this particular area as the center point where you click.
4. If you want to reduce the size of an image, then select “Zoom Out” from the tool options bar. Now your cursor becomes magnifying glass with minus sign. Alternatively, you can do this by choosing View > Zoom Out.

Zoom Tool options given in the Tool Options Bar:

When you select zoom tool, related tool options appear in the Tool Options bar. These options are described below:

1. Zoom In: “Zoom In” tool is used to increase the size of an image.
2. Zoom Out: “Zoom Out” tool is used to decrease the size of an image.
3. Resize Windows to Fit: Resize Windows to Fit, will resize the window when you magnify or reduce the view of the image.
4. Ignore Palettes: If you select this option then this will allow you to magnify your image to expand under any open palettes. If you want that your palettes will get disappear the press tab key.
5. Actual Pixels: This will re-zoom the image to the 100%.
6. Fit On Screen: When you click on this option available in the tool options bar then this will scale both the view and the window size to fit the available screen space.
7. Print Size: This will show you the print size of your open document.
