cPanel Tutorial: How to add mailing lists?

This cPanel tutorial will show you how to add "Mailing Lists". To learn how to edit or delete a mailing list please scroll below in this page. A mailing list is a group of e-mail addresses identified by a single name, such as mail-list-name@yourdomain.com. When an email message is sent to mail-list-name@yourdomain.com, it is forwarded to all the email addresses in the list. Mailing lists are quite useful for companies who want to send regular products or service updates to a large number of customers. Please also be aware that if spammers manage to find out your list name you will need a lot more than filtering software to protect the users on your list.

There are many free as well as paid mailing list scripts on the internet. cPanel includes a very popular mail list software called Mailman that allows you to create a mailing list with a large number of options, such as who is on the list, where messages are to be sent, and if you include welcome messages to new subscribers.

• Login to cPanel, then click on the "Mail" icon.
  
  
• Now click on the "Mailing Lists" link.
  
  
• Click on "Add Mailing List" link.
  
  
• Enter the name and password in their respective fields. Select the domain -the mail list will be used on- from the Domain drop-down list menu.
  
  
• Click on the "Create" button.
  

• Login to cPanel, then click on the "Mail" icon.
  
  
• Click on "Mailing Lists" in the Mail Manager.
  
  
• Click on "Edit" button next to the particular mailing list that you would like to edit.
  
  
• Now log in to the list with your mailing list password. This will open up the Mailman Administration panel that you can use to adjust options.
  

• Login to cPanel, then click on the "Mail" icon.
  
  
• Click on "Mailing Lists" link in the Mail Manager.
  
  
• Click on the "Delete" button adjacent to the mailing lists that you want to delete.
  
  
• Confirm by clicking on the "Yes" button.
